Putin’s Playbook — What We Do Now: The Resistance Manual

INTRODUCTION: THE FIGHT FOR AMERICA BEGINS NOW

Autocrats rely on fear, apathy, and distraction to seize power. We’ve seen this playbook before—Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, Pinochet, Putin, and Viktor Orbán. Every dictator starts by eroding democracy from within while the people wait, hoping someone else will stop it.

Imagine this: you wake up one day and the freedoms you took for granted are gone. Your children can’t learn the truth at school, your neighbors live in fear, and your voice means nothing. That day is closer than you think.

Right now, billionaires and politicians are gleefully dismantling American democracy. But history proves ordinary people, driven by love for their families and communities, can defeat tyrants. It’s our turn now. Our children deserve a future built on freedom, not fear.
The question isn’t whether we can fight—it’s whether we choose to.

📌 Project 2025 is real. The billionaire coup is happening. This isn’t a drill.

Right now, Trump, Musk, Peter Thiel, and the billionaire class are executing the final phase of their plan:

  • Rigging elections through voter suppression and gerrymandering.
  • Packing courts with right-wing judges to legalize their takeover.
  • Defunding public institutions, erasing regulations, and dismantling oversight.
  • Weaponizing Christian nationalism to create a voter army.
  • Controlling the media to manipulate public perception.

📌 What they fear most? A massive, organized resistance that refuses to be silenced.

💥 Here’s how we fight back…

🔥 PHASE 1: MASS MOBILIZATION & GRASSROOTS POWER

Change doesn’t come from waiting—it starts when someone, somewhere, decides they’ve had enough. That person can be you.

Build Your Local Resistance Network

Jenny from Michigan watched in horror as her local school board tried to force extremist books that did not represent their community into her children’s school. She started by simply inviting neighbors to talk around her kitchen table. Those conversations became meetings, then actions. Today, her community not only stopped the books but elected a pro-democracy school board that worked with the community to improve schools. Jenny wasn’t a politician or activist; she was a mother fighting for her children’s education.

How you can start:

Pressure Your Representatives, Hold Them Accountable

Carlos from Arizona was frustrated by politicians who promised action but delivered excuses. He gathered friends and flooded his representatives with daily calls, emails, and petitions. Then they showed up at every town hall, sharing personal stories of how policies affected their families. Today, Carlos and his group aren’t ignored—they’re consulted.

Your plan of action:

  • Call, email, and petition relentlessly—be heard.
  • Attend every town hall and publicly hold politicians accountable.
  • Use scripts and tools from organizations like Indivisible, Public Citizen, MoveOn.org, and The Fulcrum to amplify your message.

Show Up, Stand Strong, Be Seen

Maya from Tennessee knew protests mattered. But it wasn’t until she and hundreds of others regularly showed up at the state capitol—live-streaming their message—that legislators realized they couldn’t quietly pass anti-democratic bills. Maya learned firsthand that visibility creates power.

Organize effectively:

  • Set regular protest schedules at local government offices and state capitols.
  • Use social media live streams to ensure your voices are amplified and undeniable.
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics to increase participation.

Public Messaging: Make Your Voice Unavoidable

When corporate interests funded candidates who threatened democracy in Ohio, Mark crowdfunded a billboard campaign. Bold, simple messages exposed politicians’ true loyalties. Local outrage led to election defeats for several candidates who’d sold out their community.

Mobilize your message:

  • Crowdfund campaigns via GoFundMe or Kickstarter.
  • Partner with local artists for impactful, memorable messages.
  • Target politicians and billionaire enablers clearly and effectively.

Unionize, Strike, Win Together

Sarah, a warehouse worker in Alabama, was tired of poor conditions and wages. She joined coworkers in organizing a union drive. It wasn’t easy, but their solidarity led to improved pay, better conditions, and a powerful message: workers have strength together.

Support your fellow workers:

  • Encourage unionization efforts and offer your solidarity publicly.
  • Join picket lines and provide practical support—food, transportation, funds.
  • Use resources from AFL-CIO and other labor groups to guide your actions. List of labor unions in the United States.

Take Back Our Schools

When book bans threatened her children’s right to education in Florida, Ana didn’t just complain—she ran for the local school board and won. She mobilized other parents, teachers, and students to reclaim their schools from extremists, creating a safer, fairer learning environment.

Take action locally:

  • Run or support pro-democracy candidates for school boards.
  • Attend PTA meetings to counteract extremist agendas.
  • Organize local parent groups focused on fair education and protecting rights.

You’re Not Alone: Join These Movements

Your family’s future depends on the fight we choose today. Stand up. Fight back. Win!

🔥 PHASE 2: ECONOMIC WARFARE — HIT THEM WHERE IT HURTS

Throughout history, economic pressure has forced even the most powerful to back down. Authoritarians rely heavily on financial backing from corporations and wealthy elites. Cut off their resources and watch their strength crumble.

Boycott Billionaire-Backed Companies

Maria from North Carolina was furious when she realized the money she spent shopping was funding companies actively undermining democracy. She knew her solitary action might not scare billionaires—but she also knew every movement begins with one brave step. She canceled Amazon subscriptions, ditched Tesla, dropped Facebook, and publicly encouraged neighbors to follow suit. Soon, hundreds joined her.

Sure. Maria dropped her Washington Post subscription and Bezos shivered in his boots. Not a chance in hell. But just look at what’s happening to Tesla. That’s the power we have. The power to scare billionaires. We can bring them down because nothing scares the rich more than being poor.

How you can make an impact:

  • Identify companies supporting authoritarian policies and boycott them.
  • Use social media to broadcast your boycott loudly and persistently.
  • Unite your community to amplify your economic impact.

Expose Dark Money and Corporate Influence

Tom from Pennsylvania felt helpless when he discovered that massive financial institutions secretly influenced laws affecting his children’s future. He started educating his community online and in town meetings about how dark money corrupts democracy. Though some said it wouldn’t matter, Tom knew darkness thrives on silence.

Will Tom’s actions make a difference? I guarantee it won’t unless we all start pulling away the curtain and exposing billionaires to the light. Evil hides in the dark until it’s so strong it doesn’t need to anymore. And then it’s too late.

Steps to expose influence:

  • Track political funding with tools like OpenSecrets.org.
  • Create local awareness campaigns through petitions, social media, and public meetings.
  • Publicly confront companies and demand transparency.

Support Local & Independent Businesses

Emily from Colorado was fed up as big corporations drove out local businesses and crushed incomes. She rallied friends, promoted “Buy Local” campaigns, and shifted her money to a community bank. Her neighborhood thrived: local businesses flourished, jobs returned, and independent journalism kept her community informed and empowered. Emily discovered the power every dollar holds when used intentionally and locally.

How to strengthen your local economy:

  • Bank locally to empower your community financially.
  • Prioritize shopping at independent and local businesses.
  • Fund local, independent media outlets for unbiased journalism.

Historical Stories of Economic Power

Montgomery Bus Boycott: When Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat, she sparked a year-long bus boycott that crippled segregationist bus companies, forcing public transportation to change. That’s the power of one woman and the people who chose to follow her.

Nestlé Boycott: Public outrage against unethical marketing forced Nestlé to reform, proving our wallets hold immense power.

Anti-Apartheid Movement: Worldwide divestment campaigns and boycotts starved apartheid of crucial funding, bringing down an oppressive regime. You think we can’t do the same thing? We’re Americans, dammit! We kicked Hitler’s ass and put a stake through Communism’s heart. What CAN’T we do?

And if you still don’t believe one person can make a difference, I gotta movie for you: Erin Brockovich, portrayed by Julia Roberts, who initiated a legal case against the Pacific Gas and Electric Company over its culpability for the Hinkley groundwater contamination incident.

Your choices today shape tomorrow’s world. Economic pressure works. Join the fight—your family and community depend on it.

🔥 PHASE 3: CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE & PUBLIC DISRUPTION — MAKE THEM LISTEN

When politicians ignore your voice, silence isn’t an option. Civil disobedience forces those in power to confront the will of the people. History proves that powerful, peaceful actions can create extraordinary change.

Organize Protests & General Strikes

In Arizona, Alex, a father of two, saw his children’s future threatened by extremist laws that undermined education and voting rights. Feeling desperate but determined, he organized local families into peaceful protests, marches, and eventually a city-wide general strike. Schools and workplaces stood empty, streets filled with determined citizens demanding justice. The city ground to a halt, forcing politicians to reverse oppressive legislation. Alex showed everyone the power of collective action.

How you can start:

  • Coordinate with neighbors to plan peaceful, impactful demonstrations.
  • Use social media to organize, inform, and inspire large turnouts.
  • Prepare logistics: transportation, water, safety, and legal support.

Disrupt Corporate Conferences & Political Events

Sophia from Texas was outraged when billionaire-backed politicians convened in her city to strategize privately about passing restrictive voting laws. She led hundreds to peacefully protest outside their meetings, ensuring constant media coverage. Her relentless disruption embarrassed politicians and forced them into public accountability. Sophia reminded everyone that politicians must serve the people—not secret corporate interests.

Steps to disrupt:

  • Research upcoming political and corporate events in your area.
  • Mobilize peaceful protesters to maintain a visible, consistent presence.
  • Engage local media to amplify your message and keep the pressure on.

Recall Votes & Petition Campaigns

This “Stand Up” story I witnessed personally…In Hudson Township, Wisconsin, my wife and I watched the community we’d just moved to cower under corrupt leadership. The town council, dominated by a corrupt sheriff and big business owners, had secretly approved the building of a dog racing track. Word got out. As a family community, nobody wanted the traffic, noise, and the possible increase in crime this dog track would bring. While they couldn’t legally stop the building of the racetrack, locals spearheaded a petition for a recall election, tirelessly gathering signatures door-to-door. Despite opposition from business interests, the community’s passionate campaign mobilized thousands, ultimately ousting corrupt officials and restoring integrity to local government. This quiet little community fought for their families and proved that persistence and passion can reclaim democracy.

How to reclaim your community:

  • Determine if your state permits recall elections.
  • Organize signature drives strategically, leveraging local community centers.
  • Clearly communicate the stakes through heartfelt storytelling and outreach.
  • And if they don’t permit recall elections, sit on your politicians until they pass an amendment allowing them.
  • Lastly, boycott any local businesses that support what you’re fighting. Make ‘em pay for their corruption!

Sabotage Extremist-Led Boycotts

Emily from Florida watched extremist groups launch boycotts targeting businesses supporting democratic values. She fought back, rallying communities online and in person to counteract these boycotts. Emily’s proactive approach turned threats into triumphs, safeguarding local businesses and strengthening community bonds against extremist tactics.

How to counteract effectively:

  • Monitor local extremist campaigns and rapidly mobilize counter-messaging.
  • Support targeted businesses vocally and financially.
  • Use social media and local forums to build quick, unified community responses.

Historical Stories of Civil Disobedience

Gandhi’s Salt March: Gandhi’s powerful, peaceful march against British rule ignited nationwide rebellion, demonstrating nonviolent protest’s unstoppable power.

Suffragette Hunger Strikes: Courageous women demanding voting rights endured hunger strikes, compelling political leaders to grant women the vote.

French Yellow Vest Movement: Persistent protests forced government accountability and economic reforms, proving the people’s voice is a formidable force.

🔥 PHASE 4: TAKE BACK THE DIGITAL BATTLEFIELD — FIGHT FOR THE TRUTH

Today, social media isn’t just where we share pictures and memories—it’s where democracy itself is at stake. Disinformation spreads like wildfire, poisoning minds and dividing families. It’s time we reclaim these platforms and defend the truth.

Ditch Facebook, Choose Independent Platforms

When James from Oregon realized Facebook’s role in spreading harmful misinformation, he was disgusted—but felt trapped. His solution? He migrated to independent platforms like Bluesky, bringing family and friends with him. Slowly but surely, he rebuilt a healthier online community, free from corporate manipulation and toxic lies.

How you can reclaim your online space:

  • Transition to independent platforms such as Bluesky, Mastodon, or local digital communities.
  • Convince family and friends to join you by clearly explaining the threats posed by platforms promoting disinformation.
  • Build vibrant online communities committed to truth and mutual respect.

Counter Disinformation on Popular Platforms

Rebecca, a college student in California, grew tired of watching harmful narratives dominate platforms like Twitter and TikTok. She started actively fact-checking posts, challenging lies, and creating engaging, truthful content. Soon, thousands joined her, forming a powerful movement that turned misinformation into opportunities for education.

Be an active digital defender:

  • Challenge misinformation firmly but respectfully.
  • Regularly fact-check viral claims using credible sources.
  • Create and share truthful, engaging content consistently.

Expose Lies and False Narratives

Kevin from New York noticed a disturbing rise in conspiracy theories dominating his local online forums. Determined to fight back, he started systematically debunking false claims with documented facts and credible sources. His methodical, persistent approach transformed his community’s online dialogue from toxic confusion to informed, rational conversations.

How to effectively expose falsehoods:

  • Identify the most harmful recurring false narratives.
  • Counter these lies with clear, concise, and well-sourced facts.
  • Encourage supportive communities that amplify truthful messaging.

Amplify Investigative Journalism & Fact-Checking

Sarah, a teacher from Illinois, knew credible journalism was critical to protecting democracy. She supported investigative journalists financially and shared their findings widely, helping to combat misinformation locally and nationally. Her consistent actions empowered her community with truth and inspired others to do the same.

Strengthen investigative journalism:

  • Regularly share credible journalism and investigative reporting on your social media.
  • Donate to independent and investigative journalism organizations. List of Independent Media. Search for: List of independent and investigative journalism organizations [your location]
  • Encourage others to rely on factual, reputable sources instead of sensationalist media.

Historical Success Stories of Digital Activism

Arab Spring: Social media empowered millions to stand against oppressive regimes, demonstrating the profound power of collective digital action.

Russian Anti-Putin Protests: Online organizing and global sharing exposed government corruption and drew international scrutiny to authoritarian practices.

The digital realm is ours to reclaim. Truth is powerful, and so are you. Together, we will turn the tide and protect democracy online.

🚀 FINAL MESSAGE: FIGHT LIKE HELL, OR LOSE IT ALL

📌 This is the fight of our time. We either act or we let them win.

📌 We are the last defense. No one is coming to save us.

A personal story…

When I was 14 years old, I was working for my dad. It was mostly manual labor. One afternoon, we needed to move a granite boulder laying on top of the ground. We didn’t have a pry bar with us and we were a long way from the garage. I offered to hop on the tractor and go get the pry bar. Dad told me not to bother. “Take too much time,” he said. Dad was 6′ 2″ and skinny as a fence post. He bent over, wrapped his arms around that boulder like a spider money, dug in his feet, and heaved. That boulder moved a good foot. Then he did it again. And again. Five minutes later he was sitting on that rock, neatly out of the way, and smoking a cigarette. I finally asked him, “Dad, how the heck did you do that?” He just stubbed out his smoke, looked me in the eye and said, “Son, if you want something bad enough, you’ll make it happen.”

When it comes to fighting tyranny, just remember: If you want something bad enough, you’ll make it happen.

💥 Victims whine. Patriots fight. Wolverines fight for America. 💥
