Ask any fascist what stands between them and total control and you’ll hear the same two words: diverse democracy. Every strong-man movement—from Torquemada’s Inquisition to Franco’s firing squads—starts by shrinking the citizenry until only the “pure” remain.

Trumpism is no different. What MAGA, white nationalists, and Christian nationalists want is not a fair fight over ideas; it’s an America where Black, Brown, Indigenous, Muslim, Jewish, queer, and immigrant voices are so boxed-out that white Christendom rules unchallenged (Watch – The Handmaids Tale – it will scare the hell out of you.)

Below is the case—built with receipts, not rumors—that this campaign is intentional, coordinated, and accelerating. If you are a person of color in the United States, understand: you’re not collateral damage; you’re the target.

Trump’s Megaphone Racism

This is not gaffe; it’s doctrine. Each sound bite frames people of color as invaders, ingrates, or undeserving—and primes MAGA voters to back the policies that come next

After Black and Brown turnout flipped Georgia and Arizona in 2020, GOP‐run states passed 34 new voter-restriction laws in a single year—more than any year on record. We’ve Seen This Script—Twice—in Spain

Ferdinand & Isabella (1492): Convert or expel every Jew and Muslim; launch the Inquisition to police “blood purity.” Spain lost artisans, scientists, and credibility chasing a fantasy of homogeneity. Wikipedia

Authoritarians always promise safety through sameness. They always deliver censorship, exile, and graves. Spain is still repairing the damage generations later. America must not volunteer for the sequel.

The DEI Smokescreen

The right’s assault on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion isn’t about saving white kids from guilt; it’s about re-segregating opportunity.

Ban DEI hiring statements and you starve faculty of color. Kill Corporate DEI and you reopen boardrooms to monochrome cronyism. Strip DEI from college curricula and you make sure the next generation never studies the machinery of oppression—or how to dismantle it.

Jim Crow never died; it rebranded.

Mandate for a Multiracial Future

People of Color are dead-center in the crosshairs. But every American who loves liberty is in the blast radius.

Fight back—legally, loudly, relentlessly:

Name it: Don’t say “racially insensitive.” Say “deliberately racist.” These aren’t gaffes. They are intentional.

Expose the network: dark money, media outlets, think tanks, megachurches, and lawmakers all reinforcing the same exclusionary system.

Amplify fighters: groups like Black Voters Matter, Faith for Black Lives, and Color of Change are on the front lines.

Demand that multiracial democracy isn’t a dream—it’s the future we fight for:

1. Flood the polls. Pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Elect secretaries of state who expand, not restrict, access.
2. Defend honest history. Show up at school-board meetings; donate banned books; sue when gag orders violate the First Amendment.
3. Fund the firewall. Support NAACP LDF, ACLU, Brennan Center, Black Voters Matter, Faith in Public Life, and local immigrant-justice orgs.
4. Call out Christo-fascism. If you’re a Christian, sign the Christians Against Christian Nationalism pledge. If you’re not, ally with churches rejecting the heresy.
5. Speak to your own people. White progressives—educate relatives drowning in Fox-fed fear. Latinx, Asian, Indigenous communities—build solidarity networks so voter-suppression tactics can’t single you out.
6. Stay loud on DEI. In workplaces and campuses, demand the data: who’s getting hired, who’s getting paid, who’s getting promoted. Sunlight melts the old boys’ club.

History grades nations on two curves: courage and cowardice. Ferdinand and Isabella failed the test. Spain under Franco failed again. We will not.

America’s experiment in multiracial democracy is messy, unfinished, and beautiful. That is exactly why fascists fear it.

So grab your metaphorical bullhorn—and, if needed, your literal lawsuit—and make it very clear:

You will not erase us.
You will not whitewash our past.
And you sure as hell will not steal our future.
